Sauna FAQ
What are the benefits of sauna therapy?
Sauna therapy has a range of benefits that allow you to optimize your overall health and well-being. Regular sauna bathing sessions can reduce pain, inflammation, and tension. It also supports your cardiovascular health and improves circulation, prompting a workout-like response in the body. Other benefits include faster recovery after a workout, improved skin health, and relaxation.
Who can benefit from sauna therapy?
Sauna therapy is a holistic way to enhance your well-being, whether you’re an athlete looking to recover faster, someone seeking stress relief or simply aiming to promote overall health. Many people can benefit from regular sauna sessions, including those with chronic diseases such as fibromyalgia; people with skin conditions; athletes and fitness enthusiasts; and stress-prone individuals.
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
Traditional saunas function by raising the temperature of the skin’s surface, subsequently warming the underlying muscles and tissues. In contrast, infrared saunas utilize infrared energy to directly heat the skin, tissues, and muscles, eliminating the necessity to significantly heat the surrounding air.
How long does the Sweaty GOAT Sauna take to heat up?
The Sweaty GOAT Sauna can reach your desired temperature in 20 to 25 minutes. You can use the hybrid control panel to turn on the sauna at a selected time to the last set temperature. When using the reservation mode, the sauna will turn on for 30 minutes. You will need to reset the timer to your desired session time.
What is the temperature range?
You can set the sauna to a temperature between 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Using the temperature up and down buttons, you can change the temperature in 5-degree intervals.
How long should you stay in the sauna?
The length of time you should stay in a sauna will vary from person to person. Factors that will influence the duration of your sauna sessions are whether you are heat adapted, personal heat tolerance, and health conditions. You should start with shorter sessions and gradually increase as you become more heat-adapted.
It’s important to pay attention to your body’s signals. Be sure to stay hydrated by drinking water before and after your sauna session. If you have any health concerns or medical conditions, talk to a healthcare professional before using the sauna.
